Dirt Disciple
23 Inch Joe Waugh 753 with Campag. Originally owned by a elderly gentlemen who used it as his time trial bike in the late 80s and early 90s then dry stored for 30 years since. I was informed that the bike was regularly moved to make sure the bearings remained nice and free. It's got a 13-18 block and 28 spoke wheels, and is nice and light. One for the flat days or rides out to the local cafe. Frame serial number 5156.

All bearings are lovely and smooth as I have fully rebuilt the bike and greased with Dura Ace grease which is better than Campag cream. New Veloflex 22mm tubs were fitted in 2021. Frame still has original paint. There is some surface rust and the paint has some patina so I thought I would just enjoy as is as its got some history. The wheels have never rubbed the chain stay and there are no dents or cracks. The levers don't have the usual scratches and it doesn't look like the bike has been dropped at any point.

Campag Nouvo record hubs with CX18 rims - anodising just starting to rub off showing low use.
Chorus brakes, gear levers, headset, front and rear mech. C Record chainset - no heal rub.
Cinelli bars and step. I think the bar tape is the original as its very brittle. I have left it on to retain originality.

I have just moved home and I have storage issues while my house is being renovated. Currently the bike is dry stored at my office.
£600. No silly offers otherwise it will remain in dry storage.

Newcastle based but will post

That's a bargain for a Reynolds 753 framed Campagnolo -equipped bike and Joe Waugh frames are very well made. Hope it sells and finds a rider!

Thanks. Kevin Winter built the frame and he is still in the business of repairing and renovating frames now. He resprayed my Vicini and it was perfect

Interesting. I was always under the impression that Dave Yates made all the frames labelled as Yates, steel or waugh

Dave Yates built my R753 Joe Waugh as his signature was on the frame build receipt alongside the measurements and geometry etc.
