The thing that usually dents top tubes is bars or brake levers. Can't see that being a problem on your Kona ;)

You may have a point there.....

The frame is a touch too big so it's main benefit will be protecting the family jewels. :-D

the frame is too big and that is your stem choice?

Err, yeah, shorten the bar to saddle distance? Can't see an issue. :?

Are these things actually sought after ???

Think I may have either a pink or a yellow one in my parents shed along with a smiley face wheel disc

Blurb from the packet:

Cosmic Trail – No Compromise

Today’s generation of action sports enthusiasts are not prepared to accept the compromises of the past. Dynamic mountain bikers leading hi-tech lifestyles aspire to nothing but the best, and Cosmic products are designed to satisfy that aspiration.

The COSMIC TRAIL range of mountain bike accessories have been developed from our own experiences in the wild terrain of West Cornwall. Driving rain, gale, sunshine and snow can follow each other in rapid succession, leaving a wasteland of muddy moors, craggy cliffs and boulder strewn trails which test bikes and riders to their limit. Having survived these conditions the Cosmic design team realised that new items of equipment were needed. The result is the Cosmic Trail range of accessories. They are functional, look good, and feature the desirable Cosmic Trail label, which is your assurance of quality

Cosmic Trail, Poniou Road, Longrock Ind Est, Penzance, England

I actually want a pink one to go on my Haro - it would be perfect for protecting the nads AND avoiding more damage to the top tube. Let me know if you still have it - and will part with it!!

Fantastic! My first mountain bike, a Raleigh Massif form 89 I think, was fully kitted out in Cosmic trail kit! along with a wheels disc! Much cooler than the cheapo Local Motion equivalent!

I have a NOS Cosmic Trail Helmet, a NOS pink frame bag and shoulder carrier and a NOS Black handlebar pad from the same range if you want to compete the look!!!

Cool. I still have a Kona one in blue that I stopped using when I went full squish. I think I have an old Core Rat one in black that I loaned to my wife.

I'd use it - even if its only on sunny summer days for show and shine type events.

oh dear, BITD i had a load of neon yellow cosmic stuff on my raleigh mustang - like that needed any more weight adding to it
