Anyone here know of a powder coaters that would strip the old paint off and paint my Toad frame with the RAL code for a type of green:

12 E 53 Linden

which incidentally is this colour:

The local powdercoaters round these parts says the closest they have is Kawasaki green. Er no thanks.

(Thanks Scant for the info anyway mate for the correct colour green)

Dont mind paying postage.

You would be better having them stove enamelled I think. Powder coating can chip, blister and crack when pressured.
I made the mistake with a load of car suspension parts during a restoration.

mmmm

Its wierd as Im more accustomed to wet painting but everyone says that powder coating is so much more resilient - especially for a MTB frame.

All Bontragers were powder coated from what I know.

do a search on STW. theres a place in clevedon near bristol that gets rave reviews for £30 powder coating. (IE they do a lot of bikes)

no worries on the code :)

ABC Fabrications in Nailsea (nr Bristol/Clevedon) shot blast and powder coat frames for £30 and seem to do most RAL colours.

I had one done recently and it seemed like a good job but then I have nothing to compare it with? A lot of the Bristol bikies seem to use them though.

Just another tick in the box for ABC in Nailsea. Just got my Ozone back and it really is a lovely job, especially for the £36 they charged, including a quick media blast.

I used a courier both ways (about £8 each time) as they don't do postage, but I could not be bothered to drive to my nearest one (and it had no recommendations). I dealt with the owner, Noel, top chap, very helpful, kept me in touch via text and email.

Very happy with ABC.
