My current Triumph had its components bead blasted and it was far easier with a better finish.If anyone wants 100% peace of mind they should consider cghemical stripping.

I used to blast parts for restorers, some are pretty well known.
I chemically strip paint and blast to a profile suitable for paint/coating.
