Posting Wheels in boxes - again.

I usually use Parcelforce 48hr. Dropped a frame and a wheel at the post office last week, cost about £10 each.

I use Parcel Force pick up all the time..bear in mind if you are thinking of dropping off, a lot of Post offices may decline something as big as a bike box due to available space..health and safety blah blah etc

I received a set of wheels a few months ago. The box was so small I was convinced there was only one wheel and I'd been hoodwinked. But no, there were two in there. Packaged really well, freehub body through the spokes of the front wheel so they sat side by side and only marginally bigger than a wheel. I was impressed and will do that myself in future.

Even when I've sent wheels less economically boxed, they are easily within the max dimensions of evri and other couriers.

Parcelforce collect from you

DPD are another option.

To be honest I’ve not come across any of the major carriers that wouldn’t take a wheel box. It’s simply a cost exercise.

Yep me neither. Shipped 2 pairs before Christmas with Parcelforce collect both using a wheel box. Absolutely no problems.
