Postal crisis

That being said, this is a place where we come together as we all love our bikes!

I didn't mean to start anything political as such. Theres enough division round the world presently, ill leave with these parting words: Those that know - Know

Thanks - I avoid politics coming into any discussion here - bikes are my escapism from the madness and evolving around us. Thanks again

Same here and my partner is living and working in Madrid, I haven't seen her since July and not likely to until Easter at this rate. Until the new virus strain is understood, the current restrictions are sensible. The same postal restrictions were also implemented earlier this year for a period.
Sorry, feel I had to put this in, afterall, you've shared your opinion and I'd like to make mine clear too - then we can carry on talking about bikes: the current restrictions are an absolute irrational nonsense - I've heard of people stowing away in containers, weapons, drugs and bombs being stowed away but never microscopic organisms - unless of course they weren't there last week and just happened to appear the day our Dear Leader said so.

Anywya, seems as if I wont be buying anything from abroad for the time being. I was hoping to get hold of a few parts from Italy - but so much for that.

Surely what we need here is the mods to lock this thread.... or just bl**dy delete it.

I am not defending the Govt - didn't vote for them - but we are where we are - and I'm now under Tier4.

There's an awful lot of people that are suffering in all sorts of ways - isolating - suffering financially - businesses closing - oh, and people getting Covid.

Perspective please - given what is going on - are we seriously griping about not getting bike bits???

This is due to external - not UK restrictions. International post is always a bit mad this time of year - bit more madness unlikely to cause too much extra hassle.

It’s a bike forum - not a political one. We each have and are entitled to our own opinions so please don’t try and silence a thread about postage all because you happen to disagree with some of the posters.
Let’s be civil with each other instead of veiled smears and accusations.

Thanks for the update !

Let’s hope things get moving again.
I wonder how DHL are faring?

Re:

Just had five parcels from China come via their cheapest solution all estimated some time next year.

Came in a out 7 or 8 days.
Quicker then they're shifting UK mail around.and for less than the P&P for each item over here, bike and electrical bits.

Only one item still outstanding.
