He just emailed me and said he's decided to sell as parts. The prices he gave are as follows:

"I'm looking for
£450 for the frame and headset
£100 for the fox forks
£150 for the revelations
£175 for the wheels and tyres."

Personally I'd go for the frame and Fox forks with a £500 offer. Leaves you £200ish for the rest which is do-able. I've probably got some bits I'd happily donate to get your lad his Christmas present.
