Possible options for 26in rim brake 1 1/8 threadless forks?

Hi All

I need my daily to have a threadless fork, so that I can place a 10mm spacer on the steerer which is required to mount my front bike child seat. It just won't work with quill stems. Original fork is a Marin (dropout stamped "Tange", not Spinner) with the usual 395 a/c and ~45mm offset. I would like to get something reasonably light, the original one is 860g (appreciate the steerer will add a bit of weight). I am open to titanium if considered safe for city riding with a child.

I have been browsing for hours and only identified one option:
Oxford fork (I actually have one already on a bike, very similar to an original Marin, but heavy at ~1.3kg uncut

Surly, Condor, don't have what I'm looking for. I am also open to older forks if I can find one, however it seems old threadless P2 or Marin were for 96' and onwards which appeared to be longer (410? 440?).

Any pointer much appreciated.

Thank you, i did see this one however axle to crown is 375 and I have 395. Would that be an issue regarding geometry?

20mm is pushing it.
And if you're mounting a child up front you don't want a steeper head angle and lower front end.

Is it 1&1/8, and cantilever bosses for 559 (mtb 26")?

Yes 1 1/8 with rim brake (canti but will mount Vs) and 559 rim.

Had you thought of using a quill raiser, then mounting an ahead stem on it?

Assuming you can find 1&1/8 - they used to be available.

Those front fitting child seats used to mount on the exposed section of a quill stem anyway.

This would save your fork and headset at least.

What steerer length do you need? I can't remember if I still have them, but did have a marin rockstar fork in ahead. I can measure up if they might work for you?

If you don't mind shelling out, Stridsland Barnacle forks are 400mm A2C. Another option are the Atelier Medium Eugene forks (402mm A2C). Both forks are probably not super light and cater to a specific market but would work for your needs.
