Possible Geoffry Butler Frame

I picked this up to add to my collection and restore, can anyone identify the period of the frame by the rear brake bracket or the bracket on the chainstays, also the the stamped number on the BB is SL6 2YT 3 . also the cable guide under the BB was made in france and fixed with some type of silicon/glue. The groupset is shimano exage 500lx, the bars have engraved Dawes handbuilt in England so Im guessingthis is a mismatch of parts?

the frame's two plate style bridges betray it as a bottom ender something or other; quite possible they may both be Agrati items; the Pletscher plate style bridges are marked with the Pletshcer name and the Agrati ones usually not marked

fork crown is Agrati pattern Nr. 005.8028 which is part of the Agrati "ROMA" lug ensemble ART. 000.8020/E/U

tubing set likely to be hi-tensile, a check of saddle pillar diameter will be a helpful clue in this regard

recommend investing no treasure in this iron

SL6 2YT is probably the old owner’s postcode. Tithe Close in Maidenhead, according to Google Maps

Fittings look like a low end Dawes, definitely not a Geoffrey Butler.

Thanks for that just wondering what age or period it's from as it has weinman 750 center pull brakes fitted ?

Probably late 70s to 80s. At a guess.

if frame of British origin one possible maker might be the Coventry Eagle/Falcon entity

during the period of Mr. Ernest Clements residence the firm employed a fair amount of Agrati bits in its frame construction

there is also the possibility it may be of Italian origin

one simple check would be to determine the thread of the bottom bracket shell
