Is there a pic of the Suntour levers? I take it they are for cantilevers? Does anyone run them with old style Shimano brakes?

Yes they are canti levers not v brake
Will post pics in the morning as at work untill 11.30 now

If someone can confirm it's ok to use on an 8 speed then I'll take it. Think they changed to 9 speed about this model but I've never ben sure of the repercussions of this apart from chain width.

Its fine to use a 9 speed mech with a 8 speed cassette and shifter but not the other way round;-)
