poncing around in Lycra

Re: Lycra garbed pratts

It's funny, I swear my jeans have shrunk an inch or two in the last couple of weeks. My lycra's still comfortable!

:?

Re: Non Race/recreational Riders in Lycra

I must admit i do have a couple sets of bib tights, nothing else keeps those chills out in the depths of winter.
I did go for just the one colour though. Certainly didn't want team kit on an old mountain bike or I would look like a bit of a tit.

Trick is, find a balance of good visibilty, comfort and a semi casual look.
Mine even keeps my head warm...

Re:

I have some plus 4's but they don't quiet look right when riding a modern bike . Very comfortable mind .

Re: Non Race/recreational Riders in Lycra

I ride in lycra all the time; it is the correct apparel for cycling.

Sure there are some knobs on bikes; just as there are in cars and driving lorries; and some ped are knobs too ...

Just because someone is in lycra does not make them a knob ...

That is the sort of generalisation that can cause a lot of problems.

Seems cycling in London is completely different to the rest of the UK and there are many idiots on bikes giving the rest of us a bad name.

I don't need busy body interfering idiots on bikes giving me a bad name.

I am more than capable of doing it for myself, thank you!

Bit of an odd term to coin 'Race wear'

Implies to much to be nice. Ive even heard people on races refer to everyone else as 'public' or 'civvies' :?
Wear what you feel comfy in :D

Ive often cycled in my offshore sailing jacket and wellies
