Please Identify Year/model Gary Fisher mtn bike PICS ADDED

You are correct sir.. thanks for the input. I have contacted MOMBAT for some help identifying model of frame.

It's either a Procaliber, Mt Tam or a Paragon. i was hoping that it would be easy to identify due to the dropout configuration . and that welded noodle on the seat collar... but nothing is that easy hey? I appreciate you taking the time to respond.. thanks :D

YES !! I did take a look at the catalogs posted here, but did not bother to look at the 90's because I thought it was an eighties bike.... I should have payed more attention to the digits on the serial #.

The 92 paragon DOES have the noodle AND the breezer style dropouts

:) so. it's a safe bet the 91 model did as well. THANK YOU for helping me narrow it down...

might be a silly question, but i take it that that duck poo green is not original, if so how do you know it was green and yellow and also a gary fisher?

seems gary fisher bikes for a time went through a phase of being two three or four colours, and if you are going off a bit of paint on forks steerer or bb shell for instance it may not tell the full picture.

Definately not a Mt Tam as that is fillet brazed and yours is just tig welded. I only think it is a paragon because the racier procaliber has a much shorter head tube in that catalogue.

Charlie.. thanks for chiming in... NOT a silly question. I rescued the frame from the garbage heap and it had a yellow fork with fisher decals. Also, the evo headset made by tange for Fisher is clearly marked 'Fisher superlight'

The paint that's on it now is primer I rattle canned it with a few years ago when considering restoring. There are also fisher stamps on the rear dropouts, You can see them in the pics I posted if you look closely; When I found the frame it had been poorly painted. but the fork was in original condition and yellow paint was pristine.

The ORIGINAL frame color could have been blue, but the fork was banana yellow. Looking at the colors offered for the 91 Paragon, yellow green was NOT one of the color choices..

Hmm leaning towards a blu frame, yellow fork combo as the evo headset appears to have been blu anodized, so blu/yellow paint scheme makes sense as it was offered as an option that year.

I am so thankful for your help !!!

KEN.. looking at the geometry of the mt Tam and the Paragon. I am pretty sure based upon the help you and MOMBAT have provided for me that it is a Paragon :D hooray !!

Amd there was much rejoicing.. Success

 :D Yea... yellow fork and I remembe seeing green before I stripped the paint off. The bike had probably been stolen give the quality of re-paint. I wanted to protect from rust so I sanded an threw some puke green primer on it, then sprayed some JP weigles into the frame hoping I would identify and restore later..... that was 20 years ago !

I have none of the original parts other than the worn out headset. I would like to restore if not to exey.
