This means it is a lightening ? And not a Xizang? Any idea of value please?

Yes its a Lightning.

Made in Taiwan rather than USA. On paper its a lesser model to a Xizang but its actually rarer having been only 97 and 98

Serial number will reveal which year it is

Value is hard on these as its all down to condition as the bead blasted finish cant be refinished easily. The nice ones fetch almost as much as a Xizang but the worn ones can be had cheaply.

Ive sold a couple which have been almost perfect for £600 and £650 for frame alone

In the kindest of ways , this one isn't mint so dont expect those kind of numbers.
