Please help me identifying this Carrera Mountain Bike

Hi, actually this is an interesting looking bike,
it looks a bit like early Ritchey-build Kelly Fisher "MountainBikes"-labled bikes like this Montare from 1983 as shown at Mombat
Just I'm pretty sure, this Carrera is rather a cheap copy and we came across a pretty similar bike in Germany quite a few times, because this was also sold from the traditional German brand Göricke 1985 or 1986.
Also the Göricke had same decals "Mountain Bike", just yours had it on the top tube.
Here is another a bit younger one with no bullmoose any longer but a Sakae stem.
I'm pretty sure neither Carrera nor Göricke was producing this bike, but it was already back in time mid 80ties an early Asian copy of a Californian-style mountain bike like produced by Ritchey.
With that it's also similar to the early Stumpjumper models, just Mike Sinyard was more successful in gaining attraction and market share as Carrera or even Göricke back in time.

Rocky Mountain was selling Ritchey-build bikes too, they are mentioned as Canada dealer at the bottom of the Fisher Kelly MountainBikes Ad from 1983 I have posted above.

First of all thank you for all this Inputs and thank you joglo for your quick response and solving a this mystery.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet the owner and have a look at this bike again. It has its genuine suntour group,
a 170 I guess sugino crankset on it.
Looks really nice and lovely. My first
intention - before I posted here was like
is this a US made early MTB in good condition? Actually this Dude who ownes
it is a some kind of bicycling enthusiast dude but not really in MTB and MTB history. It seems that the Carrera decals are aftermarket due to more glossy surface if you see in reality. He told that he would even sale to me, he is not to cherish on it.p
It seems a plausible explanation that its frame was a some of kind of asian build
