Both were great generic built (and badged for the domestic market) frames that got pumped out on mass by mail order killing off sales of the more expensive Bontragers etc

Hey,

I was browsing internet just now - trying to find any info about the frame I have. It has many similarities to Rock Lobster Team Tig 853. Canti mounts were confusing me a lot, but now I see your frame, which is similar in a way and has canti mounts too. It seems that we both have got some sort of random Merlin frames made out of different bits from different models, lol

Though I am happy with mine, as the welds are good quality, weight is amazing and it rides great. By the way, the clearance is very generous - I will be trying to put on some 650b x 2.2 wheels soon
