I used to own a set of those rims back in 1984. The rim in the pictured used to have a green and yellow fragile waterside decal over the rims joint seam.

yup, i remember that la vie claire used them in 1984/85 as well as the
metamorphosis rims. very nice indeed.

Funny, I'm riding on the Metamorphisis rims right now on my Pinarello Montello.

Well, not to put a spanner in the works, but I'm suspecting there might be a bit of room for doubt. Notably, these look distinctly 'blue' (akin a Mavic SSC blue) as opposed to, say, a red label GP4. I'm guessing it's possibly an earlier/different version that pre-dates the (probable) '84-'85-ish stuff (including yellow/green sticker) that I have here. Good to see them tho' - the pair here came on a mid-eighties Norco Fiori 'Amalfi' (any info greatly appreciated!) and still the proverbial bullet-proof.

Those rims are Ambrosio Montreal Medaille d'Or.
They came in several different finishes. They can be found on velobase.
