Planet X, X Guards?

Picked theses up at the car boot for cheaps, I like them but was wondering when they were made? Anyone remember anything about em?
I might just keep em on the original packaging because it's super retro and obviously from a time when Planet X were a bit smaller, seem well made (marine stainless graded bolts etc).
If they're 10 a penny they'll likely make there way onto my giant but if not I'll leave em on the card!

I dunno, looking at the picture on the card I don't see Canti bosses on those forks, so it can't be particularly retro, of course in 10 years time.....
