My 2003 Pinarello ‘Paris’ bike is for sale. It is currently a single-free project with some good pieces on it. The frame was part of my race bike from 2003 to 2007. It’s made from Vires 7003 T6 alluminium tubing. It still has the original Chris King ‘NoThreadSet’ head set, which is still as smooth as silk. It also has the original Time Featherlite ‘Sprint’ carbon forks.
Although the frame does not have any rust, the paintwork did bubble a bit around the bottom bracket, head tube and crown, so I treated those areas with Hammerite. The top tube has a dent in it, caused by my bike-shop mechanic letting a clamp drop on it!
If somebody would like to return the bike to 10-speed, I have included the Shimano down-tube bolt-on cable stops. This is either a ‘ready-to-go’ single-speed or 10-speed bike (once you’ve added the relevant options), or a ‘breaking-for-spares’ opportunity.
It would be economically better sense for me to break the bike down and sell the individual parts myself, but that would take a bit of time, so I would like to sell the bike as it is. The full parts breakdown is as follows:
