Re: Pinarello MTB

I've got to hand it to you Saarf, you find some really unusual mtb's.

Looking forward to seeing it built up.

Re: Pinarello MTB

Nice :) dont see too many of the old pinarello mtbs.
Which model is it? some of them came in black originally.

Re: Pinarello MTB

Thanks Steve

I think it's a Giovo , if that makes any sense, going by the top tube decal situated near the headtube, not sure exactly what type of
steel, frame still en route via post to me, cost me about 25 Euros, so there's room to refurb to black

See, now that is just a detail too far, I mean, we all love a bargain, but €25... come on!

I think it will look good in black. Like my son says, you can never have too much black on a bike.

Re: Pinarello MTB

I had an Asolo that was a lovely navy blue, and the dark area's on this seem blue, but, I may heed your
call and go for black, and try to get a black campag olympus crankset

Re: Pinarello MTB

I like that paint (looks a bit like Klein but way cooler as it's on steel), hope it will just clean up ;)

Looks to have Columbus decals on it, so I reckon it will be Cro-mor, tube profiles look wrong for Max, was there a Nivacrom set without the extreme profiles, not sure don't know much about them really.

Rob Atkin was selling a full Olympus group by the way.

Carl.

Re: Pinarello MTB

I'll try to pm Rob,

Re: Pinarello MTB

That's nice, I rather like the current paintwork to be honest, quite unusual.
