Photographs inside Moots in Colorado

Here are some photographs I made on a trip to Moots in Steamboat Springs,Colorado on a barmy road trip from Tucson with them involving alien watch towers among other things.

Anyway, thought I'd share here as they've been published in the US and I've popped the story on my site already.


They're good people, making good titanium bikes by hand still. That always gets me.

Anyway, hope you like them.

I visit a few bike factories but I can particularly recommend a Moots as i tend to only ride Ti and have two Moots. But the workmanship and care going into each one is quite incredible to see.

I'm really impressed by mine but i'm a little buased as they're like family to me now over there.

Got a few Moots Ti parts on bikes. Would like to see a few close up shots of the welding process too. Glad to see no robots involved. Understated top quality.

I don't think I have much of welding after I nearly fried my head photographing another factory doing it prior. I'll look anyway though.

The welding on both my frames is quite simply stunning.
