I hope this isn't getting a bit sad, but the geometry on the two bikes is quite different, so it might (?) help to spell out how the AA will differ.
1. obviously the three inch longer seat tube doesn't make much difference, but
2. the top tube is two whole inches longer, and that's a lot
3. the head tube is 4cm longer, so the bars are going to feel quite a bit higher
4. the head angle is a whole 1.7deg steeper (for any given fork), which again is quite a lot and the steering should feel quite a bit sharper.
[i.e., the AA head angle is what Joe Murray designed and the Lava Dome is 1.7 slacker - but maybe you prefer it 1.7 slacker than Joe Murray designed]
Obviously if you like the Lava Dome absolutely fine, then all those changes are going to be for the worse. But if you don't mind going in these directions, it's a question of whether the differences go too far.
