Peugeot Model/Age?

Recently bought this off ebay. No decals re tubing, no model name of the frame, simplex read drop outs. Any help id-ing would be ace. It might be a PGN10, but i'm not convinced.
thanks

I thought I vaguely remembered seeing frames like this in my younger years (late 80s-early 90s) and Reynolds 501 tubing seemed to ring a bell for some reason - turns out my memory isn't that bad after all:

Pretty sure it's the PGN10; the PX10SH has the same paint job but extra chrome on the rear triangle.

However, the position of the decals differs slightly, although that might be a quirk of batch production.

Re:

I had one very like that in the mid 80s. Reynolds 501, with Simplex dropouts, an unusual bolt-on Simplex front mech and a grub screw to hold in the seat post. It had chrome forks like yours, but no other chrome. Sorry I don't know the model, but I got mine in 1986, and it was second hand already (but not very old). Had Rigida rims on Maillard hubs (I think), Weinmann brakes, Simplex mechs with retrofriction levers, Nervar chainset (I think), Maillard CXC pedals, and a Stronglight seat post (which eventually welded itself in...) It rode really nicely. I replaced it with a Holdsworth Avanti 501, which wasn't nearly as nice to ride.

It looks like yours has the same bolt-on front mech, but I can't be sure from the picture (it bolts directly into the downtube). I still have the front mech, so if you're going to be building this up and need one, let me know.

Sounds, from memory, a lot like the Triathlon model, which used 501 tubing and lugless construction* and had that odd front mech mounting.

*The Peugeot "Direct Brazing System" rather than TIG welding. How did that work? I dunno - but it did (as Vic & Bob might put it).
