Peugeot Aneto 501- L'Eroica ?

Can anybody help me by throwing some light on the suitability of a Peugeot 501 Aneto for next year's event ?

Peugeot frame numbers are a nightmare.

I have traced the Aneto to a 1988 catalogue scan, but don't seem to be be able to confirm whether it was in production before this.

Help !

There's no scrutineering at L'eroica - as long as the bike has downtube shifters, non-aero brake levers and pedals with toeclips and straps, consider yourself qualified to ride.

Yes - I've always assumed Anetos with 501 and 531 tubes to be '88. it appears in the '88 UK catalogue, but I've not managed to dig up an '87 UK catalogue. Also I think Anetos were a UK only model (although I please correct me if you've better information).
