Came across this frameset last weekend, bought it and it arrived promptly this week.
I already have one of these frames with tatty forks so buying this gave me some options, plus I love 653 tubes so couldn't turn it down!
What I noticed was that it is missing a few decals, notably the multicoloured 'racing team' and a couple of Peugeot stickers on the forks and the back of the seat tube, but it has a large Peugeot logo on the top tube - bit of an odd one! It's definitely the 653 Athena model though, it's identical to the other frame I have in every respect.
I set to yesterday and built it up with 7 speed Shimano 600 components that I had spare, plus wheels, bars and stem borrowed from another Peugeot of mine which is probably going to be sold on now!
Quite happy with how she's turned out! Looking forward to a test ride in the coming days
