Peugeot 531 pro ex pro team SEFB Bernard Chesneau from 1988

Not my area of expertise but by 1988 I would have expected aero brake levers,?

What little I know, but as Mavic was sponsoring the Peugeot team, is it where they didn't have aero brakes and maybe this was the best they had ?

Hi Chris, nice to see the bike is in good hands, I was going through a difficult separation and subsequent divorce when i restored this bike and this build was a much needed distration at the time. I will send you a pm with my contact details but just for the benefit of anyone interested to the best of my knowledge all the 88 SEFB team bikes were non aero brake levers , there is a picture of Bernard Chesneau with the bike in the thread with top mount cables.
