Period correct forks on a build...or not?

Hi Guys,

Some might know I've been looking for a different fork for my 1996 Fuquay (see below). I've spotted a RC36 Pace Evo fork of 1999 vintage (V brake only). Should I go for it or keep my powder dry? Thanks, H.

Go with whatever you feel works best. Unless you are a slave to period correctness (gone mad) the pace would look good and are probably a better working fork. I could offer up some rc38 air force 2 if you wanted to keep the bike light.

There's only a three year difference, in my book that would pass a a period upgrade.
