I don't know. Some of the regulars and locals have maybe seen it in action. Perhaps it only happens rarely.
I doubt it will be, the water will be sat just at the top lip though. I have been over to it a couple of times, we used to see how far we dared go down the steps, not far, as they get narrower and it is not the sort of hole you want to fall down and get wedged in

Not that it makes much difference- being a newbie and not having met the Peak Division of RB- but I won't be coming on Saturday
Was looking forward to it: I'm only down 'road in Glossop, weather's finally picking up, could've put some faces to avatars(!)
My partner's Ma (not Mother-in-Law [we're not married]) needs to attend a hospital appointment and I'm the only transport option left...
