Paul Donohue Mtb 1990 ish

Here’s one I’ve not come across before but it’s sure is lovely.

A 1989/1990 I think Paul Donohue mountain bike. Completely filet brazed with some lovely details and an awesome fork,

I got it on eBay as I just liked the lines, I’ll not change much but give it a good clean and make it a proper rider,

Here’s sone pictures now, on tanwalls I put on but these tyres are too fat for the rear clearance so I’ll try a few other things.

Full DX groupset, it appears to be totally original and very very good condition. A

Was tempted by this one myself, but space and timing went against it. Lovely bike, the fork is particularly nice. Looks like it's had a very easy life

My thoughts exactly. It’s cleaning up nicely. I’m going to put DX thumbies on as the brifters are temperamental, sort out the cabling and put a turbo saddle on. Job done.

Kept looking at this one on eBay too!

It's a lovely machine and those segmented forks are super cool. A few friends had Donohue cross bikes and they were beautifully detailed and made, plus they rode great. Looks to be in amazing condition too! And this MTB has certainly found a very, very good home!

The clean up continues. The components are in very good condition it appears.
Just awaiting the thumbshifters, then I can pretty much finish this.

Cockpit sorted, I’ve gone for classic reliability. Ritchey WCS foam grips, SS5 levers and DX thumbshifters.
Just awaiting saddle and I can finish it.
