How did the levers work out in real life? According to paul website they should only be used on single speed bikes with alternative braking... they would look lush though on a mtb

They worked just fine, the canti's give a lot of braking power. Here's them on a Pompino, they did look lush.

I love the look, question is how practical they are in real life, especially here in sweden where the wheather can be truly dodgy at times. Was considering throwing them together with set of mechanical/wire disc. Dont know if it is possible though :?:

How practical canti's are? Very, great stopping power. The front cantis (the Neo Retro's) are not advised to be used on thin frame tubes by the manufacturer, Paul Components, as they can bend the frame. See http://www.paulcomp.com/neoretro.html

Think we are talking about different things here mate. Im talking about the E-Lever by them self not combined with cantis but combined with V-brakes or if possible having them with mechanical discbrakes (wire disc). I was wondering if such combo was possible...http://www.paulcomp.com/elever.html

I get you now. They certainly won't work with V-Brakes, not sure about mechanical discs. Read Sheldon Brown's article on mechanical advantage.
