Paul components brakes

Evo360

Dirt Disciple
Hi all, looking to upgrade my current cantilever brake set up and am on the lookout for some Paul component jewellery to fit. Levers and brakes, either canti or v. Cash is waiting for the right parts. Thanks

Re:

I have a practically new set of Paul's v brakes and levers in purple/3dv.

Done less than 100 miles, only taken off the garage queen build as I had a change of colour scheme, though may put them back on as the bike is a bit dull without them.

I may be up for selling them, though it would take £250 to make me want to.

I do have a new set of prg v brakes which are Paul's clones in silver/grey i no longer have plans for. I was going to run them with some new trp top end levers which I also have (new/boxed). Appreciate they aren't Paul's but in case you are interested throwing them out there.

Hi buddy, definitely interested. Can you send me a message with some photos of the goods if possible? I wanted to message you but it seems i don't have the facility due to being a new or low activity user?

Hi all, for some reason I don’t have the ability to send messages privately, I have asked the question as to why but haven’t received a response yet. In the meantime if anyone wants to make contact then send me a massage with an email address and I’ll make contact that way. Ishaw can you send me your contact details? Thanks all

Re:

Would you be able to post a picture of the black and silver Paul cantis, maybe let me knew how much you are looking for?

Some pics on my build here.

Build has changed a lot, brakes are not currently fitted but may drop them back on, or use either a set of kcnc vb1, or m970 xtr, undecided yet, though the Paul's help with the cable run as can switch the cable clamp.

If interested in them or the other brakes I mentioned, I can take some proper pics.

Hello buddy, if you would send some more photos over of the Paul brake set I am very interested. If they are as they look in the pictures on your build thread (beautiful bike btw!) I'll take them!

Re:

Here are some pics of the prg brakes. Apologies they aren't great pics due to being sealed in bags. I can open one and take a pic if of interest.

They are very similar to Paul's, the noodle mount is not removable as per Paul's, I ran a black set for a while on a build and did use them the 'wrong' way round I.e. noodle mount on the opposite side of normal to allow for the cable run on my frame on the wrong side of the top tube for v brakes.

The 3dv Paul's i have are mint. Only used on the axis build which I did the London to Brighton off road on, so less than 100 miles and still as new really. Not 100% sure I want to sell, as they have sentimental value because of the ride and the build got me through a difficult time, but I can grab pics for you while I decide if I can part with them.

Thanks for the shots, to be honest they are lovely but I think I’d only be happy with Paul really. Can completely relate to you not necessarily wanting to part with them though. Have a ponder and shoot me an email or message. I’ll take them if you decide they are to be parted with
