How dare you!I once was thrown off and banned from a classic car forum because I said one mans idea of patina is another mans idea of neglect
The car in point was a rusty shed but the poster was one of the "in crowd" and his cronies took offence at my opinions.
I still believe to this day that patina is overused to hide neglect as in my mind worn or sun bleached paint is patina but rust is neglect
You should visit RatRodBikes. Patina, and faux-tina are elevated to an art form. To counter your perspective, here's one I did. Started off with a brand new, never ridden cruiser, no neglect whatsoever.
