I went over to pick up some road parts and the (very nice) seller had various bits from a MTB groupset for sale .
Like me he had no idea what they might be worth.
Had there been a complete set of brakes or the rear mech had been the long cage version I would have bought them for my Jack Taylor touring bike.

Everything was in pretty good nick, few scratches on the derailleur,but nice tight pivots and not much wear.Usual cracks in the plastic on the shifters.
