Parts for 1990 kona lavadome.

Hi,I'm new to retrobike so hello and I need some help on restoring a red 1990 lavadome. This is my first attempt at a restoration,I'm attempting a full nuts and bolt job to get it back to nearly new standard. First problem the rear Araya rx7 anodised rim is beyond repair so need one of those,plus I'm thinking of respraying it but don't want to do it if I can't get a full set of decals including the TBG head tube decal and the designed by joe murry sticker on the top tube they seem to be really hard to find aswell,plus any X1 parts would be a big help coz they seem to be hard to source. Any advice or pointing me in the right direction would be a big help.

I am sure someone will be along to correct me in a minute but.....are the rx7s the original rims?

Hi Tuff92,is that your wheels on eBay? I'm confused myself coz I've got a 1990 yellow splatter paint lavadome and that's got mistral rims on it in silver,this is where it get confusing though coz the rims look the same as the red lavadomes with the same Suntour hubs and there's a white 1990 lavadome just come on eBay in original condition but with anodised wheels like mine!!!! Shame he won't post otherwise I'd buy it have the trio lol once I get myself sorted on here I'll post up the build as it go's on and some pics of my 88 splatter paint cindercone,90 splatter paint lavadome and my 93 lavadome. Im having a clear out of my old Deore DX parts on ebay to fund this project my seller name is V1WRC. Cheers for the advice m8

@navadasmith thats the one im talking about nice bike m8,I would think about buying it but it's along way to pedal from Newcastle to pick it up lol shame your not posting otherwise mite be interested. @ tuff92 aye the number plate looks nice when it's on the car,really stands out,I'll have a look at your link for the wheels.

It's not mine - message the seller to see if you can arrange something - never hurts to ask - also check how much of the X-1 group set is intact.

It sounds silly but it may actually be cheaper and easier to buy the one on the link.

i just got this one from ebay the seller was not offering post so i mailed him and asked if i arranged my own courier would he post and he nipped to halfords and they gave him a box from one of there used bikes. hope to receive this thursday
