Interesting frame . Comparing it to the 1950 model which had twin top tubes and judging by the pictures yours has a single tube I would guess its a 1980's model . I could be completely wrong .Also agree on the drop outs which are later
During its long life it mine also had front down tube lever bosses and a clamp added for a front mech . I had this removed during a refurb as it was originally only 5 speed { Big mistake looking back }

That's a stunning frame, I wouldn't repaint it at all - its very difficult to refinish a frame to a period paint job

Have received a couple of emails from Alvin Smith who has advised that the frame was built by Tom Board and is therefore a more modern frame.

Thanks for the help in solving this little puzzle, much appreciated.
