Parcelfarce- anyone else waiting, and waiting, and waiting..

Is anyone else waiting for items to be delivered from the states?

I'm waiting for a frame and fork that left San Fran on the 23rd of December, airmail. On contacting ParcelFarce I was told that the item was not yet in the country so they could not tell me when it will be delivered. Did anyone notice a cargo plane crashing on the news on Xmas eve? Will that plane need re fueling after 12 days in the sky? Are they using Wilber Wrights Jallopy? Are the Atlantic headwinds so strong at this time of year or have the idiots at Parcelfarce lost my Funk??

I have received other items posted at a later date from the USPS but not this one. Please tell me I'm not alone in my wait!

Si,

Same boat for me, mine left San Fran on 9/12/07, went standard airmail, its a frame size box, so it will be a Parcel force delivery

Chased them yesterday with a US tracking number, to be told it had gone into customs check that day!

They did give me a new UK tracking number and said I should see it in a few days or at least a customs/duty bill then it would be sent out once I had paid the duty, if there was any to pay

Think you have a bit more waiting yet, turnaround seems to be around a month

Same waiting game here but from Australia

Parcel left Brisbane Dec 21st or so, appeared the 28th "awaiting customs clearance" and still is. No surprise though, service departments have christmas leave too and the stuff just piles up.

Enjoy!

I had something frame sized sent from the US on 18th December, equally no news yet - "but mummy, I want it now"!

Note - the quote is directed at me, not anyone else

Waiting on lots of stuff from USA, do ParcelFarce end up delivering by default then if it was sent via USPS?

One package was some nice NOS stuff - sent on 14th December.......

However I have had some stuff delivered from Canada that I ordered after this and it's already here.... :?

Everything that is sent via USPS will be delivered by Parcel Force or Royal mail, just depends on box size, as far as I am aware

Most of the small stuff misses custom charges this way, if it comes in via a courier you will always get charged and usually a handling charge as well :x

Parcel force women was helpful, once you finally get through to a human rather than an automated system

Basically unless it was sent Express it will be in the Christmas backlog

Whilst my urine boils with anger and I have taken down the highest branch from the Humbug tree and beaten the postman to death this very morn, I take solace from the fact I am not alone.
I wouldn't mind if they said next week or next month, its the 'kid before Christmas' thing of not sleeping and running down the hall naked every morning to see 'if he's been' that is getting very tiring now for both me, my wife and the old couple over the road.

Tonight I shall think of all the others who are without their loved ones at this allegedly special time of year!

Oh and Kylie-again

Posted frame and forks to US on the 26th Nov, 3 - 5 day service with Parcel force, the parcel made it to the international hub in Coventry on the 30th so already running late and then they 'misplaced' it.

To date they still haven't found it. I'm very worried. :(
