My wife found out on Tuesday that she was going to be made redundant as of three weeks time, so unfortunately I'm having to sell a few parts off.

Pair or Goldtec hubbed / Mavic 217 SUP UB Rimmed Wheels

Stunning wheels and by far the nicest quality wheels I've ever owned. Unfortunately cash is needed so will need to part with these and buy a cheaper set of wheels (which I think I've sorted from the site).

Front wheel:

Goldtec MTB Suspension Hub 32H - 158g
German (INA) Corrosion resistant high load capacity sealed cartridge bearings are located accurately on the axle to minimise axle flex and prevent any unnecessary preload on the bearing races.

High strength 2014 T6 aluminium is used for the flanges which are angled slightly in towards the centre of the hub to reduce unnecessary bending moments in the flanges.

The oversized axle is CNC machined hollow from aerospace grade 7075 aluminium. It is stiffest in the centre of the hub where the greatest bending moments occur. M6 threads are rolled in the ends so it can accept skewers or lightweight titanium bolts.

Highly effective rubber lip seals provide maximum protection for the bearings to prevent any dirt of water ingress.

Knurled 19mm end spacers are fitted as standard. Nickel plated knurled steel washers are fitted onto the end spacers to provide extra grip against alloy fork dropouts.

Polished TiN coating (gold) on bodies. Silver flanges.

Rim

Mavic 217: S.U.P. 22mm wide, 19.5mm tall, 410g, 32 holes, single eyelet, UB Control ( special machining to the sidewall to improve braking performance), Silver finish.

Snow flaked spoked.

Rear Wheel:

Goldtec rear hub - 36H

CNC machined axle from 3/4 CroMo alloy steel to a diameter of 12mm with M6 threads rolled in to the ends. This is then through hardened and tempered to give a one piece axle, which is far stiffer and stronger than any aluminium or titanium axle on the market. Bearing seals and faces are then ground to 0.004mm to ensure accurate bearing alignment which is a major factor in obtaining the maximum bearing life.

Unique ball bearing and needle roller bearing combination is used for optimum load carrying and extremely low rolling resistance. The needle roller bearing is positioned directly under the cassette carrier, the inner race for the needle rollers is actually the hardened and ground surface of the axle itself.

One piece hub body: The grade 5 titanium hub body extends the full length of the hub in one piece to support the cassette carrier as a Titanium Nitide coated bearing surface. The body is light as well as being very strong and adds to the overall stiffness of the hub.

Bearingless freewheel: The unique design of the freewheel mechanism permits you to remove and replace, or swop the cassette carrier without tools. This cleaning and maintenance a simple and easy task. The cassette carrier is CNC machined from Grade 5 titanium and is coated with a nickelPTFE composite bearing surface. There are no ball bearings for the freewheel function!

Total loss oiling system.

Rim

These are great wheels and it's a shame to see them go, unfortunately needs must. These wheels haven't been used for a while so may need a re-grease of bearings and a quick nip up in a trueing jig. Rims show are nice and flat on the braking surface and there are no dings.

Wheels will be sent in proper bike wheel boxes, well wrapped to ensure they arrive safely. I will use a 24hr courier which will be fully traceable. Postage to UK no problem, outside UK please contact me to calculate postage cost.
