PAINFUL IMAGES ATTACHED: The Dyna Death

And people worry about the glue in the lugs!

Bad luck with that, looked a nice bike, at least your still smiling. As a Dyna-Tech owner I rushed to photos thinking it was the lugs but was disturbed to find it was the down tube. After reading about the crud-catcher mod i'm now relieved that mine should be ok.

Out of interest would you buy/trust another?

Yeah without doubt, it was the flexiest bixe ever laterally but climbed like a beast and felt like a soft tail on singletrack/downhill.

Actually no of course not they all snap, you should sellme yours to be on the safe side, a snapped one has no value remember!

Best have deep pockets! This ones a keeper unless you own Tim Davies Ti-mega, in which case straight swap?

Holes are bad news, thats what a car safety engineer said anyway. stuff always breaks at weakest spot.. clean off that though, good there was enough spring in the top to hold it together. After a lot of modern bike research I've gone off the idea of alu frames a bit

I remember an old riding buddy did the same with an Orange (i think?) BITD. He only realised when the shifting started acting funny!!
