Pace RC36's

I have a pair of 1995 RC35 MXCD’s with a 1 1/8” threaded steerer I’ll be selling soon. I bought them in a job lot so need to take them apart and clean them/check them over. I believe they need new elastomers which pace still sell.
Let me know if you don’t get any on eBay.

Oh, and the eBay MXCD does not appear to have the oil damper fitted.

Thanks thats really useful information, i really appreciate that, thank you.

I just realized I had that number wrong! I have a RC35, not 36. So my assumptions about the 1" to 1 1/8" shim may well be wrong!

Re:

Thias, you are correct on the steerer shims for the RC35 MXC/MXCD.

All of the 1995/96 RC35 crowns had a 1 1/4" steerer socket as my previous post. The 1" steerer was fitted with a thicker shim than the
1 1/8" steerer shim.
Both of the reducer shims had an upstand that stood above the crown when fitted which provided a land to fit the headset crown race on to, so the separate 'crown race collar' normally needed to fit the headset race on Pace steerers is not needed.
Earlier crowns for the 1992/93/94 RC35 were made with all 3 steerer size sockets; 1", 1 1/8" and 1 1/4". The larger ones can again be shimmed down to suit smaller steerers.
All crowns 1997 onwards (until 2001 when pressed-in steerers took over) had 1 1/8" steerer sockets and can only be fitted with 1 1/8" or 1" steerers( shimmed).
