If its threaded down past the length you need then just cut it. Or post in the steerer swap thread on here and see if there's one your length and someone after the length you got.

...and if you can't find someone to swap with and your steerer is too long (meaning after cutting there's not enough thread to work with) you should be able to take it in to a bike shop and get the thread extended as far as you like

I just did the same with a P2 I had that was far too long and after trimming it to size there wasn't enough thread. LBS had the tool's to thread it, a simple and quick job, and voila, perfect length!

...so when in doubt, buy too long as opposed to too short

Personally I would stay with the MAG21's as I prefer them.

BUT they'll always lose out in a popularity contest as they are the more mass produced non-British made fork.

Not a huge amount in it weight wise. Both range from 1.3-1.4 kg.
