I have just received a set of Pace RC35 forks circa 95/96.
They currently have a threaded 1" steered.
My Bontrager frame currently has a an FSA threadless headset on so I would like to know who do I speak to about obtaining a 1" non threaded steerer from?
IIRC those pace steerers use a shim and standard 1" tubes. So just buy a 1" (aluminium if you are at it..) tube, cut it to the right length, turn out a little grove at the lower end to fit that clip in and that s it?
