It is stunning that. Don't think I'd change a thing on it now. Although it'd be nice to have the option of swapping over to some Pace/DT Swiss forks if needed

XT M770 front mech (Will change for E-Type XTR970)
XT M770 shifters (Will change for XTR M970)
XT Cassette
Shimano HG93 Chain

Does anyone have any comments about the head angle with the forks as they are?....should I be concerned/moving to a shorter travel fork or does it look about right? (Rides fine)

Maybe I should stop working about breaking it, if it happens; it happens

Looks ok to me. It's a older frame so will be steep compared to modern bikes.

I'd say that if it rides right, it probably is OK.
