Pace RC200 - new addition

Old School Hero
Finally finished the new Pace (well, new to me).

Given the minor controversy over Spins on the previous one I suspect this might not please either but it rides really nicely.

Big thanks to lots of guys for helping with the build:

GT Steve for the frameset, it's in great nick and the forks are smooooth!
Sithlord for the brake levers and Ishaw for the cantis
Marin Man (never forgotten) for the unusual choice of a Dura ace BB which is spot on.
Harryburgundy for the saddle, Bratfass for the bar ends, Mark Cotton for cranks and Justbackdated for advice and a fork brace/rocker allowing the front mounted brakes. Other bits including the disc from eBay or the shed!

Great to see one of my old frames rebuilt...

And yes Mike it is your old beauty

Top work indeed on that build.

With less controversial wheels: White Industries hubs and Mavic 517 rims, red. Makes me a bit less nervous than the disc and spinergy both of which show minor signs of age and potential for sudden catastrophic failure...

I like that. "less controversial wheels" :p I have kept my eyes open for those Tioga wheels for years. Never saw > a couple of them.

Looks MUCH better with the less controversial wheels

Suddenly all the red ano makes sense and looks totally cool and balanced

All looked a bit manic with the disk drive/spinergy mullarkey IMO

Either way nicely done and good use of a red chain!

Who manufactures the red chain or was it sent somewhere? I ask because my bike has an anodized red, motif (see my gallery)
