PACE RC200 F7 - now Sold.

My excellent PACE RC200 F7 is for sale.

It is one of the bikes I have always wanted and it is now time to move on to some of the other dream bikes that have always been on the 'must have one day' list.

This is a 19" red F7 in very good condition. I have had it serviced recently with a number of improved parts.

The basic bike consists of quite a range of high end parts.

Pace RC200 F7
Marzocchi Bomber ETA travel adjust forks. Rebound adjust and about 90 - 130mm adjustment. In the photos they are wound down to the minimum.
XTR M952 175mm cranks, XTR chainrings.
XT shifters and rear mech.
Hope hubs and Mavic rims, Specialized tyres, puncture resistant.
XT brakes, both levers and callipers.
RaceFace carbon bars
Bonty lock on grips
Titec stem (120mm)
29.4mm Thomson stem - SO NO PLASTIC SHIM SPACER - in the frame.
Fizik Gobi saddle.
All good quality cables and outers.

There is also the original Pace crud catcher in the spares box to go with the bike. The pedals will come off and a fairly basic flat pair will go on. I think that it could actually do with some gentle rising bars and I don't find the Gobi very comfortable, but others clearly like them. It is a pity the picures are not very good but the frame is in great condition, with no cracks or dents. The good thing with the properly sized seatpost is that this helps to overcome one of the Pace problems of occasional cracks in this (seatpost junction) area. I sourced a 29.4mm post and had it sent over from America.

I have spent quite a lot of money on the bike recently and it does go like a dream. It climbs so well and exceeds the (my) Klein and Yeti in a number of areas.

However, it is time to now try one of the other bikes on my 'must have' list having tried / owned quite a few over the last few years. Next on the list is:

Orange Sub5
Kona Hei Hei
Scott Endorphin
Ibis Sesebo

I also may have a number of other bits to go with the bike but not fitted (need to dig through the spares box.) Included is the Pace bolt on original CrudCatcher. I did buy a 100mm Thomson stem to shorten the cockpit - but never fitted it as the ride is great as is. it's not included but available, plus some other bits. I am 5'10" and the bike fits me really well.

This frame is capable of taking disc brakes, at the rear is the F7 arrangement so a disc calliper and rotor can be fitted. I also have an F8 bracket for sale.

So, bearing in mind what I spent to buy it and all of the recent parts, service etc, it is up for sale at £575 or if you have one of the bikes above would be happy to exchange with any necessary £'s adjustments either way.

You are more than welcome to come and give it a try- before you buy.

Before long it will be onto the interesting but unavoidable Ebay, if it does not go from here first. I will put it on here for say 10 days / two weeks, before it goes on the 'bay.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Edward.

Oops - slight update. The brakes are not XT but something else Shimano. They do have 'servo wave action' on them but not totally sure which range they are from.

Seems like a great deal to me - If I wasn't poorer than the proverbial church mouse I'd be keen! Good luck with the sale type bump!

Well, it is Thursday night so just heading out for a ride with the guys. On the Yeti. Pace is put away now for the new owner.

Have a look down the back of the sofa - it works for me every now and then. :p

That's kinda interesting. Someone has just put an F8 on the 'for sale' listing at £1500.

Makes mine kind of cheap looking. I hope someone buys it soon. :)

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the interest, it sold this afternoon, need to work out how to change the header.

Thanks,

Edward.
