Circa '95 RC35 MXCD were £395 - my first pair of suspension forks, bought from Leisure Lakes mail order.

Love it! Stacks of money back then, but a cutting edge product (at least in my head).

It was stacks... Just turned 18, I paid on a 'cheque spread' - 6 post dated cheques!

Carbon fibre legs, machined aluminium crown, dropouts and canti mounts... Still like to just look at them (not the same ones unfortunately, I sold mine around 1998 after buying my first FSR).

Cheaper than Rockshox MAG21 and fraction cheaper than Manitou 3

Yes, I remember them being around 350 quid. About the same as a medium/low end mountain bike that was actually capable of being used for mountain biking.

Bought my mk1 RC35s from Walton st cycles 1992, £350. My old mad was beside himself, he couldn’t believe it!
Still got em !
