P7 orange rust

I have a p7 orange silver cromoly zinc plated I want strip clear coat and polish it has bits of rust on back brake mounts and front under the forks these are the worst areas if I sand these is there going to be no zinc there underneath or if I use rust remover I don't want to polish bike and have bald spots if that makes sense I new to this so bear with me if I sound an arse thanks any help appreciate

It's nickel not zinc.
Cleaning up the rust spots with soapy water and a rub with aluminium foil usually gets almost all of it off.

Never under estimate the power of kitchen foil! Can also use vinegar & foil.

Followed by a liberal spray of WD40/GT85 and wipe clean with soft cloth, or a wax & polish
