Oxon / Wilts local knowledge needed please.

A while ago there was talk of a cycle way using the route of an abandoned canal between the Thames at Abingdon and the Kennet & Avon canal near Devises or Trowbridge. Did it get finished, has anyone ridden it or do you have any info you could pass on? Many Thanks in advance.

Part of the King Alfreds Way perhaps ?. If so yes it's finished and plenty of resources online about it.
