Overbury's Pioneer - Built in Bristol works like clockwork !

Re: Overbury's Pioneer - Built in Bristol runs like clockwor

I used a fine brush then used a damp cotton bud to wipe the excess off, took a couple of goes, most of the scratches were polished out, but on the left pedal there were a couple near the logo that were too close to polish out without touching it so I used the brush to paint those ones back in.

Did I misunderstand but are the cages anodised black? If so, where did you get that done?

Yes the cages were polished then re-anodised black, I had it done at Badger Anodising in Birmingham, they turned it around within a week, the cost was low due to it being a friend of a friend, Rampage on here does anodising and machining of small parts, I have some parts I need making for him.
The pedals turned out really well, but there was a lot of hours polishing the scratches out before they could be anodised, but it was worth it tho ! :D

As I'm no longer 17 with an elastic back, I needed a more forgiving stem, I couldn't find one with the angle or length with a double clamp, so I chopped up two stems to make one !
So this part GT part Kona Velocity so still retro ! :D

Mate, you need to bugger off, chopping and re-welding stems.....

How the F are the rest of us going to keep up with you?

Seriously, top top work, I doff my cap

I can take credit for the chopping up but I required the talents of someone more skilled than I with the brazing! :D

Think I've managed to sort the brake lever problem out, I found a company in the states called Fixcraft who specialise in bike polo, they do a short pull brake cable kit with a dual linear cable :D

This fits a standard cantilever brake lever, the adjuster and nut will need to be remade smaller as the cable ferrule won't fit at the moment but with a bit of tweaking it should work, the kit comes with inline adjusters for the front brake .

Might have to look out for a an xt lever with the rubber hood to finish it off, the kit was only $27 and with shipping cost about £20 if I break it tho I've got a long wait so I might have to get a spare !
