Overbury?

Hi Everyone,

I fancy adding a retro mountain bike to my collection - which goes from an 1870 Boneshaker to modern recumbents - and remember lusting after an Overbury when I was a lad. Well, 20 yo man.

Any tips on what to buy and where?

Ta.

At last

Finally, someone else on here into SERIOUSLY retro bikes

The cushion tyre bike is now rideable and has been identified as an 1890 Buckingham and Avon.

If you don't already know about it, check out http://www.ivcarally2008.org.uk/public/index.php?cmd=menu&id=-1 for a decent event for the 'shaker and a new penny stack world record attempt.

As for the Overburys, my brother has one from '83 but I don't think he's selling (same goes for my '83 Evans and '84 Stumpjumper I'm afraid).

A new Penny Stack record, eh?

The current record was the finale of Spokesfest 2003 on Abbey Park in Leicester - and I should know because I was the Event Director :D

Did you take part?

I now run Cyclemagic, the organisation I co-founded :D

I wasn't at spokefest 2003 (or was it really then, maybe I was), but was in the record at leicester a few years back (131 I think it was, if that's the one you mean then obviously I was!!!). We're aiming for 200 next year and already have a huge number confirmed from all over europe coming to take part.
