Well, in the last 8 months I’ve made exactly not very much progress at all apart from changed a few things around.

I’ve more or less decided that it won’t be at all period correct. Because the forks are so beefy I thought it would look good with these black Deerhead cantis, new springs and Kool Stop salmon M700 inserts are on their way. Cranks, though possibly m730 would look more appropriate, I now have these RF, including correct bottom bracket, so I think they’re staying, period correct be damned. I’d rather a Suntour XC seatpost but I can’t find one in 27.0 so for now the titec is staying. Gears - a bastard mix of Suntour and shimano. I’ve always liked the Suntour XC front, but I’ve found shimano rear more reliable. Stem is in the pipeline. It’ll have old school wide risers, and probably Suntour levers. General idea was to get a rider together that everything works well, reliable and looks cool.
