Over Gold

Not the best picture to get an idea of all the shading on the gold but it all matches perfectly. Now just need a frame to hang it on, and no your own frame is not an option.

Plain ti frame would be the best IMO, or maybe carbon.

Deep Evergreen/forest green, Deep wine red and black are also good frame colors for gold bits.

I do agree that too much gold can be tacky, too much of anything really. You all have good taste if you suggested a Ti frame, gold goes great with Ti, IMHO. Problem is most of the Ti frames are top pull and my front derail is a bottom pull. So a cool steel frame paired with the gold kit and all black components seems like the move.

I have an identical set of levers (with the original stickers as per yours).

Yours are the only other set I have seen.

There have been several using gold elements (ie. the rasta sets) but never a fully gold set...

(this is where hundreds of people post up pics of theirs to prove me wrong...)

p.s. gold also works well on red anodized frames imo...

p.p.s. I think gold Ringle Ti-Stix would complete the set better than the Salsa Flip-Offs...
